Tuesday, May 30, 2023: At Eagle Lake with the best shower tent in the world!

Actually I was just passing through and was looking for a campsite for one night. At Jerlin in Vermilion Bay I found what I was looking for. Although the campground – like very many, by the way – is located directly on the Transcanada Highway, the charm and friendliness of the owner carry over to the site. I have never had such a wonderful shower in a tent! (To be exact, I’ve never showered in a tent at all before). Not to mention the many orchids that bloom in the campground. As Linda put it, “They’re protected, and they just show up.”
Eagle Lake is just a few minutes’ walk from Jerlin and treated me not only to the view, but also to a chorus of different bird calls. The place also has charm. Too bad I won’t be able to get there on my return trip!
